Description:
The Cylindrical Mandrel Bend Tester is used for determining the elasticity, adhesion, and elongation of a dry paint layer on sheet. For testing, the up to 100 mm wide painted specimens are uniformly bent with the paint layer to the outside around the mandrel. The test is performed with decreasing sized mandrels, repeated until cracks are observed.
