Automatic Film Applicator Mini with Glass and Vacuum Bed
Description:
The automatic film applicator mini with glass and vacuum bed can either be used with the glass bed or the vacuum bed (with external vacuum pump). The replacement of the 2 beds is done within a few seconds.
The vacuum pump is not inside the device and has to be connected externally.
The application speed can be adjusted and is always constant. Due to the special design no vibrations occur during the application, thus a smooth film is guaranteed.
For application any bar coater or film applicator can be used with the instrument.
Usage with glass bed:
The substrate to be coated (for example: plastic panels, test chart, plastic film, etc.) is fixated by the clamp. The glass bed functions as a work plate. It can also be removed and cleaned easily.
The application is done automatically with a film applicator (single, double, four sided, adjustable film applicator, etc.) or a bar coater.
Usage with vacuum bed:
The substrate to be coated (for example: plastic panels, test chart, plastic film, etc.) is fixated through the vacuum suction. This allows an application over the entire substrate surface.
The vacuum plate is specially made out of 2 parts, so it can be taken out, opened and cleaned easily if paint should drop into the vacuum holes.
Application with a film applicator:
The wet film thickness depends on the used film applicator and the film width depends on the film applicators length. Basically all kinds of diffrent film applicators (single, double, four sided, adjustable film applicator, etc.) can be used.
Application with bar coater:
For any wet film thickness you will need an individual bar coater*. It applies on the whole surface area. The bar coater has to have a diameter between 10 – 13 mm and a length of 200 mm.
*Bar Coater available in: 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100, 120, 150 or 200 µm.
